The CyberSecurity Engineer handles the digital security for our company and clients. The ideal candidate will be building digital security protocols, operating a cyber security system and maintaining an IT security infrastructure for their organization or their clients’ organizations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Security Engineers are the first line of defense against malicious actors in the IT industry. They screen their company’s critical IT infrastructure for weaknesses and create robust countermeasures to prevent future incidents. Security Engineers also train employees on security best practices and advise management on investments to safeguard the company’s computer and network systems.
  2. Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
  3. Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
  4. Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  5. Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
  6. Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
  7. Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
  8. Plan, develop, implement and update company’s information security strategy.
  9. Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.

Desired qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, information system from an accredited institution.
  2. 5+ years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer
  3. 2+ years of experience in the fintech industry
  4. 1+ year working at a start-up
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Excellent attention to details
  7. Certifications: ITIL, CETma, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA security+
  8. Languages: Proficiency in French and English
  9. Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook mail, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Powerpoint, Calendar, Planner, Teams) and any relevant tools
