Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager maintains the financial wellness and integrity of our organization. The ideal candidate will supervise accounting departments, prepare reports for company leads, and develop standards and processes for proper financial management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, implement and supervise the company’s financial strategy
  2. Manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts and financial assets
  3. Handle the company’s transactions and debts and do cash flow forecasting
  4. Perform the company’s financial audits
  5. Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives
  6. Monitor and analyze financial accounting data
  7. Create financial reports based on data analysis
  8. Make recommendations to business stakeholders

Desired qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance or business administration from an accredited institution. MBA preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Director
  3. 2+ years of experience in the fintech industry
  4. 1+ supervisory experience
  5. 1+ year of experience working at a start-up
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Excellent attention to details
  8. Certifications: CPA, CFA.
  9. Languages: Proficiency in French and English
  10. Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook mail, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Powerpoint, Teams), accounting software and any relevant tools.
